The Man Behind Stand up & Deliver

I've spent much of my working life in comedy, as a writer, director and performer. And if there's one thing comedy has taught me, it's that everything starts with connection.

The best stand-ups are masters at connecting with an audience. The best comedy improvisers are masters at connecting with each other. Both rely on listening, being present, responding in the moment and making other people feel part of the experience. And it's never been more important.

These are precisely the skills that make someone a great communicator in business.

I help leaders and teams take those skills and apply them to their presentations, pitches, meetings and everyday conversations.

It's not about turning people into comedians. It's about helping them become more confident, engaging and authentic communicators who make a genuine connection with the people around them.

How did I begin?

I began in comedy, originally as a writer, director and performer – and I look to bring a lot of these skills to my work. Today I work with  leaders and managers at Google, Microsoft, Cigna, Tik Tok, major banks and governement organisations around the world,  helping them truly connect with their audience, communicating complex ideas clearly, engagingly and with personality. Part of that is helping them avoid the dullness of much of corporate communications, and actually land ideas that people remember and act on.

This is about helping leaders and organisations communicate clearly and memorably when the stakes are high: whether that's at board level, strategy announcements, investor briefings or at major conferences.

The through line isn’t “be funny.” It's how do we connect, so that people hear what we've said, remember it and then do something with that information. Comedians, script-writers and actors are the best in the world at this, and those skills can be learnt by anyone and simply applied to your communication.

And it works. The world's largest speaker agency, London Speakers Bureau recently revealed that I'd coached their top three selling speakers. I also trained the ON24 Best Webinar winners (the Oscars for Webinars) , RED WHALE.

I focus on:

  • C-Suite coaching
  • Executive Presentations (conferences, town halls, major client events)
  • Visible Leadership moments (difficult conversations, inspiring teams, meetings, handling objections, investor pitching)
  • Virtual Communication (webinars, podcasts, online conferences)
  • Investor and agency pitching
  • C-Suite & team alignment

Global clients include: Cigna, Unilever, Nestle, Commerzbank, TikTok, Al Rajhi Bank and Siemens.

My unique approach to communication is valued by top businesses and institutions in over 30 countries around the world. In addition I am an Associate Faculty member at Hult Ashridge Executive Education
