HOW TO AVOID PRESENTING NAKED!

The great theatre director Peter Brook was two thirds of the way through his rehearsals for famous Paris production of Hamlet. The star was Adrian Lester.

Brook was probably the greatest and most innovative theatre director of the 20th century. He’d been directing for almost sixty years and had achieved almost God-like status. He was also the definition of “expert leader” and few if any questioned his judgement. His audience for the sell-out shows would surely be made up of Shakespeare buffs and fans. Approaching the first preview, with the show already in fantastic shape, what could possibly go wrong?

Delivering an Impromptu Speech

The tricky speech or presentation is not where you have weeks to put together your content and rehearse but the one where some bright spark suggests you “say a few words to (fill in the blank).”

Interview with Adam Mendler

I was recently interviewed Adam Mendler, where we talked all things Presentation Mastery. He also asked for the single best piece of advice I’d ever been given. (Adam is an entrepreneur, writer, speaker, educator, and within the US is a nationally-recognised authority on leadership, as well as being host of the business and leadership podcast Thirty Minute Mentors, where he regularly elicits insights from America's top CEOs, founders, athletes, celebrities, and political and military leaders.)

Do You Think Like a TV Presenter?

VIRTUAL PRESENTATION MASTERY

Do you think like a TV presenter? For virtual presentations, there is much we can learn from them. These presenters need to be natural and authentic, but their presentation style to camera is always a heightened reality. To achieve this, you need to focus on interacting with the camera as though it is your audience—and this is the case whether you’re talking to one person or a thousand.

How to avoid Zoom or Video Meeting fatigue

First of all Zoom fatigue is real. It really is bad for us and it really does negatively effect our mental health. According to the Virtira study of professionals working remotely https://virtira.com/the-webcam-survey-executive-summary, nearly half (49%) reported a high level of Zoom fatigue. As we will see later, those numbers amongst women are much higher. To understand what we can do about it, we first we need to understand the six triggers for Zoom fatigue.
